Prefabricated facade systems at 15 Hudson Yards bring together several innovative technologies to achieve its subtly curved form.

The tower facade is a cold-warped unitized glazing system which is ventilated and pressure-equalized to the exterior.  Glazing units are manufactured flat and "cold-bent" on site to achieve the curved geometry.  15HY is the largest application of cold-bent glazing in North America.

The podium is an alternating arrangement of infill panels including active exhaust/intake louvers, false louvers ("flouvers"), vision glass, and shadowbox glass to accommodate a complex range of commercial, residential, and mechanical programs serving both the Shed and the residential Tower.

TDG provided facade design, consulting, and digital computation services for both design and construction teams.
