Neil Thelen AIA
Neil Thelen is an architect and founder of Thelen Design Group Inc. TDG was founded in 2015 to synthesize professional expertise in the design and construction of manufactured objects, systems and buildings, and the strategic utilization of collaborative digital tools for project delivery. In 20 years of professional practice Neil has collaborated on a broad portfolio of built projects globally, developing solutions for stakeholders across the supply chain including real estate developers, architects, engineers, manufacturers and contractors.
Neil has a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul, MN. He has served on the faculties of Columbia University, the University of Michigan and the University of Virginia. He has been a guest lecturer and/or design critic at Princeton University, MIT, University of Pennsylvania Columbia, Pratt, University of Michigan, University of Ohio, University of South Florida, University of Virginia, and the University of Minnesota.
Originally from far northern Minnesota, Neil currently lives and works in Manhattan with his wife and two boys.
