The Domino Sugar Refinery Redevelopment is a mixed-use complex of buildings located on the former site of the Domino Sugar Refinery in Brooklyn, NY.  Developed by Two Trees and designed by SHoP Architects, the residential building at 325 Kent Avenue is a 17-story residential building with 522 rental units.  The facade is a ventilated rainscreen with operable windows, integreated PTAC units and perforated copper and zinc panels.

TDG assisted the owner to self-execute their building enclosure, using computational 3D models to finalize the facade system design and coordinate the various trades involved.  We developed custom automation routines to provide fabrication-level data for more than 17,000 perforated metal panels, and the proprietary sub-girt system that supports them.  Additional outputs included a 2000-page set of elevational field drawings for rough carpentry, window installation, as well as installation drawings for the rainscreen system.
